Developing the Technology Cooperation between Iran and Singapore

The
presidency vice president for science and technology affairs and the
head of the innovation and economic development council of Singapore met
and emphasized on expanding the technology cooperation.

According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs,
Dr. Soorena Sattari- the presidency vice president for science and
technology affairs at meeting with Fillip Yeo- the head of the
innovation and economic development council of Singapore, by mentioning 
the established suitable capacity and space in Islamic Republic of Iran
especially after the removal of sanctions, considered the human
resources to be a valuable capacity and reminded Iran’s rank in
nurturing intellectuals and experts in different sciences and
technologies.

Sattari by pointing out the effective role of
sanctions in developing the scientific capabilities and reinforcing the
innovation spirit of our country declared: At the moment, over than 95%
of bio technology products of Iran are produced and supplied
domestically and by the efforts of domestic experts.

The head of the National Elites Foundation by
mentioning the considerable annual financial flow of companies that are
active in bio technology and IT as a suitable pattern for expanding
cooperation with Singapore, stated: Regarding the Iran’s urgent need to
necessary infrastructures for entering the production and
commercialization fields, this case can be a good base for science and
technology cooperation of the two parties and the
presidency
vice presidency for science and technology affairs is fully ready to
prepare the base for facilitating such cooperation.

Sattari by mentioning the understanding of
essentiality of changing the oil-based economy to knowledge-based
economy for society development, pointed out Iran’s transition of the
oil economy stage and added: The economy market of Iran has a high
capacity for defining joint projects for utilizing the international
cooperation and investment and the presidency vice presidency for
science and technology affairs has put serious programs for
materialization of cooperation based on these capacities on the agenda.

 

In the following, the head of
the innovation and economic development council of Singapore, beside
illustrating this country’s capacities and activities in creating over
than 900 thousand occupations in several countries stated: Regarding the
capabilities of the two countries and the done activities in educating
scholarships and absorbing the elites, the possibility of sharing the
experts network and achieved experiences by the two countries have been
provided.
