The computer terminals used by the Macro Data Refinement team do not have an “escape” key
Tale
Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories are strictly divided between their professional and personal lives. When a mysterious co-worker shows up outside of work, a journey to uncover the truth about her job begins. This is standard for terminals in the Data General Dasher D2 series, and these appear to be.
Ben Stiller personally directed it
Featured on Late Night with Seth Meyers: Ben Stiller/Rose Matafeo/Brooke Colucci (2022). Edit* Episode 9, S1 is one of the best episodes of television I have seen of an ongoing show. It still tells the story, but shines so much brighter.
Only two episodes have been released
And deserves awards and recognition for it. So I will keep this very brief for now and update with a full review when the series is over. I’m going to give it all away because I went into the plot unprepared before watching it.
I can’t wait to see how the world is built
Judging by the actors/directors alone, Stiller is still one of the few unique filmmakers in Hollyweird who can pull together great actors and decent budgets. This show is unlike any other show that has aired before and has great potential to be considered one of the best unconventional and irreverent dark comedy shows of all time. Just give this show a chance, it’s not political or influenced by the real world so far.
It’s a universe all its own
And I’m loving them so far.
