Sonic, Knuckles and Tails reunite to face a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they’ve faced before. With their abilities outmatched, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance. Check out the actors behind some of your favorite movies and animated series, including Keanu Reeves in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The directors of the previous films have mentioned playing both Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2001) and the solo game Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) for inspiration. The film is also inspired by narrative elements from the Saturday morning animated television series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993). In the Knuckles TV series, Sonic said, “Robotnik is gone and there’s no new battle to fight.” But in this film, he told Tails and Knuckles that they must ask Dr. Because of this, it is unknown how they found out he was still alive..
Shadow’s story began much like yours, Sonic

SPOILER: There is a scene in the end credits: Sonic arrives at New York State Park and is confronted by an army of Metal Sonic robots, but is saved by Amy Rose.. Appeared in Geeks + Gamers: Sonic 3- Trailer Reaction (2024). Wow, the first impression of the movie is that it definitely delivers on its promises. Somehow they managed to make this franchise even bigger than the last one. This does not stop the fan service and Sonic fans like me will definitely be happy with how the story is handled, but also how they handle the characters, the visuals and even the music.
But they aren’t terrible characters
The human characters Tom and Maddie are probably the only element in this movie that I could have with or without. They don’t really serve a big purpose other than to move the story along. I like them fine, they just don’t get a lot of screen time. But I also agree because we come to these movies to see Sonic and the gang. Jim Carrey proves once again why he is the perfect casting for Doctor Eggman. Not only that, but he is also pulling double duty in this movie. It is so much fun to watch him play both characters and you can feel his energy in this role and how much he loves playing it.
You can really feel the raw emotion from his performance
This is also his first role that he has returned to for the third time in his long career. It’s nice to see he still has it after all these years. Keanu Reeves as the voice of Shadow is another incredible choice for this character. He really emulates the complex character and tragic backstory of Shadow. Honestly, if Sega wanted to hire these voices for their next Sonic game, I wouldn’t be disappointed. It’s not that their video game counterparts are bad, it’s just how good the movie actors are in the roles. The story in this movie is so well-crafted and really conveys the emotion you want from the type of story they are telling.
It felt a little rushed at times, but overall it was done really well
Sonic in this movie is more like himself from the games than any other movie so far. It is a lot of fun for any Sonic fan and/or family going to see for the weekend. The only complaint I have is that I wish the movie was a little longer so they could develop Shadow’s story a little more and give him even more time to have more weight. You can still feel the emotional tug on the heartstrings that they are trying to make the audience feel, I just wish there was more of it.
